Lydia Robinson is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) whose career is defined by a deep-seated passion for gynecology and a lifelong commitment to her community. A native Floridian born and raised in Broward County, Lydia’s professional journey is uniquely full-circle; she pursued her education and clinical training within the very neighborhoods she now serves, ensuring her practice is rooted in a firsthand understanding of the community’s needs.

 

Lydia’s clinical foundation began at Nova Southeastern University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her undergraduate tenure, she distinguished herself as an exceptional student and an active member within the National Student Nurses’ Association. It was during her intensive didactic coursework and clinical rotations in maternity departments that Lydia discovered her calling. Witnessing the profound impact of compassionate care during a woman's most vulnerable moments, she dedicated her career to elevating the patient experience for women and children.

 

Her transition into professional practice led her to Broward Health’s award-winning maternity department. Throughout her tenure there, Lydia became a cornerstone of the nursing team, serving the underserved and vulnerable populations of Broward County with unwavering empathy. Her clinical excellence was consistently recognized by both peers and patients; she was nominated for the prestigious DAISY Award, received numerous “Shining Star” honors, and attained a Level 3 status of clinical recognition. Beyond direct patient care, Lydia sought to improve the future of the profession by serving as a preceptor to incoming nurse residents and contributing to vital patient-safety initiatives, including the Maternity Unit Council and hand-hygiene committee.

 

Driven by a desire to provide more specialized care, Lydia earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, with a focused concentration in Women’s Health. Her academic rigor earned her induction into the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Upon completing her extensive clinical requirements, she achieved national board certification through the National Certification Corporation (NCC), earning the WHNP-BC credential.

 

Today, Lydia continues to advocate for the women of Broward County. Her approach to medicine is as much about human connection as it is about clinical expertise. In her role as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, she is dedicated to ensuring that every person who enters her care feels safe, heard, and holistically supported.
