About Rahela Damse

Rahela Damse is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with years of experience in women's health. She is passionate about caring for women from puberty through post-menopause. She believes in listening first, educating clearly, and partnering with her patients so they feel confident, informed, and supported in their healthcare decisions.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida International University (FIU) in 2015, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner at FIU in 2017, also graduating summa cum laude, and became board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) that same year.
In 2019, Rahela earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) also from FIU, reflecting her dedication to excellence and lifelong learning.
Rahela spent six years working in public health as a nurse practitioner, where she cared for women from diverse backgrounds. During this time, she learned Spanish and provided comprehensive family planning services, preventive care, and diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other sexual health concerns at a family planning clinic. This experience shaped her compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach to care.
She completed the ASCCP Comprehensive Colposcopy Course and has been performing colposcopy since January 2020, with a focus on cervical cancer prevention and early detection.
In August 2024, Rahela joined Fort Lauderdale Women Care, where she provides comprehensive gynecological services and continues her commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
Rahela is passionate about helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause with confidence and clarity. To better support her patients, she became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). Her goal is simple: to help women feel informed, supported and empowered through evidence-based care, to thrive- not just survive.
